ScreenSteps

What to expect during your documentation import and migration project with the ScreenSteps team

Updated on

During this project is to help you get your processes into ScreenSteps so that you can start using them right away in your training and job support situations.

But our goal isn't to just "import" what you have. We want to make sure that we bring them into ScreenSteps in a way that will help you achieve the business results you are seeking.

The process we use is outlined below. We have found this to be a very effective way of getting the right content formatted in the right way with a minimal load on your team.

Basecamp

At the beginning of the project you will receive an invite to a Basecamp project. This the place where you will:

  • Upload documents
  • Communicate with the ScreenSteps team
Docs & Files

Meetings we will need to schedule

We want to make sure that this project is successful. Her are the meetings we will need to schedule along with the required attendees and the purpose of each meeting.

Meeting Duration Attendees Purpose
Kick Off Meeting 20-30 minutes All stake holders To make sure that the ScreenSteps team fully understands how your stake holders plan on using the imported documents so that they consider the use cases as they are importing the content.
Initial Document Review 1 hour Subject Matter Expert Review the provided documentation so that the your ScreenSteps coach can ask questions about the information that is included.
Weekly check-ins 15-20 minutes Subject Matter Expert We find that these regular check-ins ensure that the project keeps moving forward and that any problems or misunderstandings are identified early on.
Content Test Meeting 30-60 minutes Stake holders and employees to test with Your ScreenSteps coach will test the imported content with someone who would be required to use the content in a training or work situation to make sure that they are able to find and apply the information quickly.

Additional documents we may need you to provide

It may be helpful if you provide additional documents during the project. These can include:

  • Tip/Cheat sheets
  • QA guides
  • Checklists
  • Additional reference information

During your documentation review meeting your ScreenSteps coach may ask you to provide those as well.

That's it

Hopefully this information has given you a good idea of how the process will work. We are anxious to get started with you and help you experience what life is like when you training and performance becomes painless.
