Q: Does the extension require any modification to the application websites to work (i.e. Salesforce, nCino, etc.)
A: No

Q: How does the extension know what help to suggest?
A: When a user logs into the extension, the browser downloads a text file containing a list of mappings. These mappings contain Regular Expressions and jQuery selectors that map to ID#s. As the user is browsing to different pages, the extension checks to see if the page matches one of the mappings in the local file. If there is a match then the extension will request the list of articles from the ScreenSteps server that corresponds to the ID of the matched mapping.

Q: Is user browser history sent to the ScreenSteps servers?
A: No

Q: Do we track browser activity?
A: No. We only log requests that are made for articles to the ScreenSteps server

Q: Why does the browser extension need to "Read and change all your data on all websites"?
A: In order to inspect the the HTML on each web page to see if a Channel applies to the page as well as insert the browser extension into the current web page for display. No web content from a web browsing session is ever sent to the ScreenSteps servers. All checks are performed locally on the user's computer.
