Not all of my Zendesk categories or sections are showing up in ScreenSteps
Updated onArticleWhen ScreenSteps connects to Zendesk it uses the user credentials that you entered when you configured the integration.
If you are not seeing all of your Zendesk categories and sections then one of two things is possible:
- The user that ScreenSteps is using to connect to Zendesk does not have permission to view those categories/sections.
- Or, the categories/sections were created after you initially imported your Zendesk structure into ScreenSteps. If that is the case just import your structure again and they should appear.

Publishing to a Zendesk Sandbox
Updated onArticleWhen you set up a sandbox in Zendesk it creates a totally separate Help Center in Zendesk. This means:
- You will need to have a separate Zendesk account name in your ScreenSteps settings.
- All of your article IDs will be different between the sandbox Help Center and your production Help Center.
This prevents you from preparing all of your content in a sandbox and then just "switching things over" to the production Help Center.
If you are going to use a sandbox to stage your content in Zendesk then there are two approaches you can take when switch to your production Help Center.

What are article aliases?
Updated onArticleMany times customers want to have the same article show up either in two places in the same manual or in two manuals in the same site. Integrations with external services such as Zendesk create complications with this as they don't allow the same article to appear in two different locations. Each article can only appear once in their services. ScreenSteps uses the concept of aliases to solve this problem.
