In the desktop editor you can import a tab delimited file that will be converted into a table.
The tab delimited file needs to be encoded as UTF-8.
Select Import from the File menu
Select the file containing the tab-delimited data
The data will be imported and a table element will be added to your article.
Remember that the data needs to be UTF-8 encoded.
Specify that the first row is a Header
If the first row of the data that you imported is a header then you can easily make that change after importing.
- Begin by clicking anywhere on the table to enter editing mode.
- Next, click inside one of the columns of the first row and click the H button in the tools palette that appears.
- The first row will be converted to a header.
