Before you can display PDF download links, make sure you have...
Now you can follow the instructions below to enable the links to appear in the sidebar.
Open the Site Template Editor
If you are not familiar with the site template editor refer to the How to Navigate to a Site's Template Editor article.
Select the option below that matches the template you are using
When you click Site Template in the Admin area, you will see either the Old (2015 template) or New (2019 template) option selected. Choose the option below that matches the template you are using.
Update your PDF settings in the Site Template
Check the boxes next to Download Manual PDF and Article PDF
There are two locations to check the boxes. The first section is for your site - when readers are viewing a table of contents, they will have an option to download the entire manual as a PDF.
The second section is for an article - when readers are viewing an article, they will have an option to download the entire manual as well as that specific article as a PDF.

Preview Changes > Publish Changes
Don't forget to Preview Changes and then Publish Changes so that the update sticks.
Update your PDF settings in the Site Template
Switch from the "Home" section to "Manual/Chapter" section
Click on the drop-down menu where Home is selected and select Manual/Chapter.
Expand the Sidebar Content section and turn on Download PDF option(s)
Switch from the "Manual/Chapter" section to "Article" section
Click on the drop-down menu where Home is selected and select Manual/Chapter.
Expand the Sidebar Content section and turn on Download PDF option(s)
Click Apply > Publish
You're done with the set up!
That's it! You've set up your PDF template(s) and you know how to download the PDF versions from the Admin area and provide the option for end users to download PDFs from the published ScreenSteps site.
