How Single Sign-on endpoints, domains, sites, and your account are associated

In ScreenSteps there are different domains associated with your account administration area and each of your sites. For example, your account administration area might be and your sites might be (or if you are using host mapping with the site) and (or if you are using host mapping with the site).

When a user is logged into ScreenSteps they are logged into a specific domain. Being logged into one domain doesn't mean that you are logged into other domains, even if the domains are associated with the same account.

Each Single Sign-on (SSO) endpoint in ScreenSteps can log a user into a single domain. You can create multiple SSO endpoints to log users into each domain that is used by your account.


Each off your sites in ScreenSteps may have an SSO endpoint associated with it. If the site is accessed from the domain then the SSO endpoint will log users into that domain. If the site has a custom domain name assigned to it, such as, then the SSO endpoint will log the user into that domain.


Your ScreenSteps account also has SSO settings. These settings control access to the domain assigned to your company account (e.g. This domain is used to access the ScreenSteps admin area where you manage and edit your content. It will also be used to access the default site associated with your account unless you have configured a custom domain name for the site.
