Analytics is only included with the Small Business Plan and above to be used on internal documentation. Public facing knowledge bases are not eligible for analytics with ScreenSteps.
But you can install 3rd party tracking code such as Google Analytics into any of your sites.

This is partly a Google Analytics question, but do you know if views in the Administration side of ScreenSteps count as page views in Google Analytics? Or are page views in Google Analytics only calculated on the public site?

@Andy - no, page views in the ScreenSteps admin area would not appear in Google Analytics.
