How can I send a user to a specific spot in my article?

Updated May 08, 2020

You can send users to a specific spot in your article by using an anchor name. You can manually add an anchor name to any heading in ScreenSteps, or you can use the shortcut below to quickly get an anchor name while browsing your knowledge base.

You can get the anchor name from the public view of your knowledge base or the Administration area of your knowledge base.

From public view of knowledge base

  1. Hover your mouse next to a heading or a foldable section
  2. The link icon appears
  3. Click the link icon and your URL address will automatically add a "#" symbol along with the heading text. This is the anchor name.

Anchor name is added to URL
