Creating an article from an audio recording

1. Create a new article

2. Enter a descriptive name for your article

3. Expand Audio Option

Click on the + button next to Create an article from an audio recording to expand the audio controls.

4. Start recording OR upload file

  1. Use the Record voice tab to record yourself describing the steps in the process you want to document. The audio recording interface allows you to record audio using the default microphone on your computer. The interface supports pause/resume so you can pause to gather your stops. Once you are done recording you can preview the audio recording and download it if you would like to keep it for future use.
  2. If you have an existing audio file in the m4a, mp3, WebM, or WAV formats then you can upload that file using the Upload audio file tab.

5. Record your voice

5.1. Click Start Recording

Click Start Recording to start recording using the default audio input device on your computer.

5.2. Pause Recording

Press Pause Recording to pause the recording in order to gather your thoughts.

5.3. Stop Recording

When you are done, click Stop Recording.

5.4. Play back your audio

You can now (1) playback your audio recording, (2) download it, (3) delete it to start over, or (4) Create article from audio file.

6. Submit the audio file so Clarify AI Assistant can generate an outline

Once you click the Create article from audio file button Clarify AI Assistant will analyze the instructions in the audio file and generate a new article with a scannable, followable outline.

You will receive an email once the article is available at which point you can expand upon the instructions in the outline by adding additional details, converting list items to headings, questions, steps, etc.

7. What if the email I receive says an error occurred?

If you receive an email stating that an error occurred while creating the article reach out to [email protected] so we can investigate the cause for you.
