How to Set a Default Article Template for a Site

Updated on

1. Edit site settings

Navigate to the site settings page.

2. Select template

Select a template from the dropdown.

If you don't see any templates appear in the dropdown, you must first create an article template.

3. Optional: Require that new articles use an article template

If you want to ensure that a template is used each time a new article is created, you can also check the box to Require that new articles use an article template.

4. Click Update

Scroll to the bottom of the page and then click Update.

5. Note the template default when creating a new article

Also note that whether or not you opted to check the box to Require that new articles use an article template will determine if users can or cannot change the dropdown to "No Template".
