Code format vs. Code block

Updated Aug 05, 2019

When you are writing an article, you may want to incorporate a code style for specific content. This can be accomplished in two ways.

A text field with Code run

Use this option when you only need to format individual words as code.

1. Add a text field

2. Modify format

  1. Highlight the text
  2. Select the code option

Here's what it looks like

The color is red by default. You can change the color of the text by following the instructions below.

Change the color of the text
Use CSS to modify the color

You can use this CSS recipe to format the text to be black:

code {

  color: black;

Replace "black" with another color if you would like to use another color.

A Code Block

Your second option is to add a code block.

The entire field of text will be styled as code. The default color is black, and cannot be changed in the editor.
