How to capture an open menu

Capturing open menus can be tricky - as soon as you click your capture button, the menu disappears. Luckily ScreenSteps has some tools that make capturing menus easy.

Option 1: Use the keyboard shortcut

If you set up a keyboard shortcut to start your capture then you can trigger it while the menu is open.

Open the menu
Press the keyboard shortcut

You will be able to capture the open menu.

Option 2: Use the delay timer

You can set a delay on the timer from between 2 and 8 seconds.

Set the timer.
Click the capture button. A countdown will start.
Open the menu before the countdown ends.

You will then be able to capture the open menu.
